It’s that time of year when we slowly say goodbye to bathing and visits to the beach. I hope you had a beautiful and carefree summer that will stay in your memories forever!

The beach bag needs to be emptied and all those summer items need to be stored properly so you can find them intact again in a few months. The correct storage of the swimwear, of your summer clothes and items will prevent wear and tear and thus extend their life span over time. Let’s check out the top 10 tips that will make this process a breeze!

Swimsuit care and storage

  • Before you even think about storing them, you need to remove salt or chlorine from your swimsuits because they are their number one enemy.
  • Get a basin of lukewarm water and a mild detergent and wash all the swimwear you used this summer.
  • You can check for residue and stick a soft sponge on the clasps and accessories that your swimsuit may have (e.g. chains, Also, untie any knots if you have if you have a tied swimsuit, triangle or briefs.
  • If you spot any sunscreen stains, scrub lightly with a little extra soap.

Choose a suitable case for storing clothes and place your swimwear in it after making sure it’s completely dry. If your swimsuit has cups, enhance or is push – up you can try to “fill” the cups with a ball of paper so it doesn’t lose its shape. Also, if you get drawer dividers it can stop digging through drawers, frantically trying to find the bottom that matches your favorite top.

If they are used together you can store them together. Dresses, company, shirts or whatever you choose for your summer beach looks.

Extra Tip: Follow the instructions for washing your clothes to prevent them from wearing out.
